How to Earn Rewards for Your Shirt Designs

What you need

• A LimeThreads account. Rewards are tied to your account, so you need one to earn them.
• Artwork of your own. A PNG, JPG and WebP file, up to 10MB. It has to be yours, or artwork you have the right to let us sell: a logo, character or brand that belongs to someone else cannot go in the collection.
• Nothing else. You do not need to buy anything yourself. You can offer a design without ever ordering it.

Step by step

1. Upload your artwork. Add it under My Designs in your account, or in the design studio. A large file on a transparent background prints best; the resolution guide shows how many pixels a print needs, and a design that prints sharply is one people order.
2. Offer it to the collection. From My Designs, or from an order that carries the design. Offering is optional, and saying no changes nothing about an order. You choose whether a name or handle is shown with the design, or none; we never publish your account name or email address.
3. We review it. Nothing appears publicly until someone at LimeThreads has checked it. If we decline a design, we tell you why.
4. Other customers order it. Once it is live, anyone can choose it and have it printed on the shirt, colour and size they want. The first time someone else orders one of your designs, we email you.
5. You earn at each milestone. When the orders of your designs reach a milestone, we email you your reward, and it waits in your account under Rewards & Credit.

How orders are counted

Rewards are paid at milestones, never per order, so what matters is how the count grows. The rules are short:

• Only other customers’ orders count. Your own orders of your designs never do, whether you are signed in or check out as a guest with your own email address.
• All your designs count together. You do not need one design to do all the work: orders of every design you have in the collection add up to the same total.
• Each order counts once. An order with three shirts of your design, or with two of your designs on it, is one order.
• An order counts once it has gone to print. Until then the customer can still cancel it, so it is counted only when it can no longer be cancelled. That is also why a reward, once earned, stands.

So if one customer orders a shirt with your first design, and another orders two shirts, one with each of your designs, in a single order, that is two orders towards your next milestone once both have gone to print.

The milestones

Milestones and what each one earns are listed here and in your account as soon as they are set. Designs you offer now start counting from their first order. We may change the milestones once they are set; a change never affects a reward you have already earned.

What you can earn

• A discount code. A code only you can use, signed in, on as many orders and until the date shown with it. It does not cover delivery, and it is not added on top of another offer: at checkout the better one applies.
• Store credit. Added to your balance, where 1 credit is Rs 1. It is spent at checkout, and it never expires.
• A gift. Something from us, which we arrange with you by email.

Each milestone gives one of these, and says which next to it. You can see every reward you have earned, and how far you are from the next, under Rewards & Credit in your account.

What a shirt with your design costs

Someone who orders your design pays the price of the shirt they choose, from PKR 799 for the Custom T-Shirt, plus any charge shown with the design before they order. You are not paid a share of that price. What you earn is the reward at each milestone, however much each order came to.

Your design stays yours

• You keep ownership. You let us print and sell it on our garments, and you remain free to use it anywhere else.
• You can withdraw it at any time, from your account, your order, or the link in our email. It takes effect immediately and needs no reason. Garments already ordered are still made, and the design takes no new orders.
• Cancelling your own order does not withdraw it. A design you offered from an order stays in the collection, and keeps counting, even if that order is cancelled.
• We keep our own copy of the artwork so the collection keeps working. If you want it destroyed, withdraw the design and write to us.
• Artwork that is not yours is removed. If a design turns out to belong to someone else, we take it down and no rewards are paid on it.

Designs people order

We cannot promise that a design will sell, but some things help. Artwork that reads from across a room works better than fine detail, and a design that suits more than one shirt colour gives people more ways to wear it; see which shirt colour suits your design. Several designs give the count more ways to grow than one, since they all add up together. And sharing a link to your design with friends is fair: their orders count, as long as they are theirs and not yours.
